Known as one of the most ‘primitive’ tribes in India, the pahari korwas were primarily a hunter and gatherer community living a nomadic life, indulging in slash and burn agriculture, hunting and gathering herbs as they moved along from one place to another. a movement against unemployment.

for those who need a break from my black and white photographs. at the moment i've taken a sabbatical from colour photography, but these are just a few of my colour photographs. none from india at the moment. indian colours are too harsh and bright for my liking, so maybe later.. black and white is still my favourite

i've fallen madly in love with this country .
in this theme i not only want to capture what i see on my way to attaining some peace, but i also plan on documenting the life in burma in the future. hopefully they too will be moving towards peace

i love windows and i love the way people look out of the windows, sometimes as if they're trying not to be caught while looking at you.
i'm starting a theme (hopefully on a long term basis) on windows. but my windows will have life and will not just be empty windows.

it seems that horses and donkeys are a big part of our lives (atleast in india) i wanted to photograph dogs, but then realised that erwitt elliot had already done a great book on them :( so horses and donkeys have a relation with us in many more ways, since we look at them more as utility animals than just pets.
im not elaborating much on this right now. at the moment im starting with horses, then hopefully i'll find donkeys and then other animals (including dogs)
