Themes

George (Polonaise)'s former serie "Smiling Infectivity" inspired many of us and more smiles and laughs were added : this is an optimistic theme, to make you smile and to brighten up your day !

This is a group theme, BUT please post ONLY the smiles/laughs that are really "contagious", otherwise the theme will be immediately full !

On 2008-12-17, the account of our friend Polonaise was disabled and he was banned for 7 days, for this reason. Since the ban was lifted, his previous activity on TE cannot be seen anymore : more than 500 photos, themes, WSs, discussions etc.

Dec. 31st : George is back with us, posting the photos that were deleted. Welcome back, Mr. G.G. !

Having met a French photographer on the tracks of Roma people all around the world [incl. India]), we went to Hacibektas for a festival where various families are meeting each year ;

... encouraged by his work, I also dared venturing on my own to Sulukule (Istanbul), an area reputed dangerous - not so much, IMO - and a very interesting place where I returned on other occasions.

Although some of our politicians are trying to polarize our society, most of us believe that diversity is our richness.

No one is "100% Belgian" because of our complicated history - for instance, many of us have Spanish blood in our veins since Charles V and his successors (their armies), my brothers have very dark hair...

We are an interesting mix, let the new comers enrich our small rainbow country and let's communicate!

My personal collection of Indian women (plus some girls) that I could portray, sometimes with their families etc...

So hard working, always gracious and smiling, often shy, most of them discreet : how would India be without them ?

A collection of faces with expressions of sheer rapture or being in trance while performing or as spectators - faces totally taken by the moment and lost in pleasure and/or emotion due to music, dance, theatre, poetry etc...

Feel free to add the ones that you think are fitting this theme ! (But people just playing music etc. won't do, we need to see the expression of being "OUT OF ONESELF", in communion with another world !)
