Inle Lake is in Shan province, Myanmar. Most visitors stay in the town of Nyaung Schwe on the north end of the lake.

Inle is famous for its floating gardens, leg rowers and daily markets. Weaving, metalwork, umbrella making, cheroot rolling are all popular industries. The lake also has monasteries and pagodas spread across the permanent islands that dot the lake.
