Harbin is the Capital of Heilongjiang province, north-east of China. The city has a rich history and has been occupied by the Russians and the Japanese in the past. The main shopping street feels very eastern European and there is even a Russian cathedral, Moscow style. During the harsh winter is the main event. Every year between 5th of January and 5th of February this festival is held. It started in Shaolin Park, and now has expended to two big parks just outside the city.
