The highlight of the Carnival of Naoussa (in Northern Greece) is the appearance of people disguised as Yianitsari and Boules (Brides).

Stemnitsa is one of the most beautiful villages of the mountain area of Arcadia, in the center of Peloponissos. Situated at an altitude of 1050m, it is built on the archaeological site of ancient Ypsous and was under the rule of the town of Gortynia.
Apart from the above Stemnitsa has been very active in the crafts of gold, silver and bronze, producing a series of high quality artifacts (jewelery, bells, guns, cutlery, etc.), that have been sold around Greece and abroad.

Saint Spyridonas is the protector of Corfu and the church dedicated to him attracts thousands of believers that visit him and prey for a miracle.
The tradition reports a lot of miracles. It is said that he saved the island from the Turkish fleet, when Greece was under the Turkish domination. In the four litanies all around the year with the procession of saint Spyridona's sacred relic, all philharmonic orchestras participate. It is worth seeing it and live this magic atmosphere.

The monastery lies on the west slope of Mt. Helikon.
The catholicon is the earliest preserved specimen of the octagonal cross-in-square type of church, built in the first half of the 11th century. It has a large, tall cupola with a diameter of 9m. The domed central space is surrounded by two-storeyed constructions which were modelled as cross-vaulted chapels.The church was built of large, ancient stone blocks and the external walls are very simple, without brick ornaments.

The village Ligiades in Ioannina is one of the closest villages to the capital city . The view to Lake Pamvotis and the city of Ioannina is panoramic from this location and literally enjoyable for the visitor.
The village is built at an altitude of 940 meters above sea level, on the mountainside of Mitsikeli. Ligiades is part of the region of Zagori and a district of the Municipality of Perama, Ioannina. The distance from Ioannina is just a 15 minutes drive, only 12 km. far.

It is the most important greek bridge, well-known due to the famous legend of the chief-builder, known not only in Greece and Balkan but in other countries too.
Its history goes back in time even before the roman period, maybe in the times of Pyrros, the king of Epirus. Obviously this should be the bridge that Plinios mentioned in his writings. During the centuries, the Arta Bridge has been restored and extended many times.
The last restoration was in 1612.
