I've become such a big fan of this event that I guess it's time to create a theme for it. The Nativity scene of Monsaraz takes place every year, at Christmas, when around 40 real size characters are placed all over the village, re-creating the Nativity.

In this theme I intend to include my photos of the traditional feasts in Portugal, most part of them involving goats, sheep and sheperds. There are still many in the countryside, which are not always easy to keep alive. Slowly, I'll try to show them here.

So, I'm finally creating a theme for Sicó, a calcareous region situated a little south of Coimbra and where there is so much to be seen.

All those who usually see my photos know this is my favourite theme. Why? I just love everything about these little churches, their architecture, their location, their simplicity. I can spend hours visiting them but I especially like the exteriors.

Guess it's time to create a theme for Monsaraz, a very beautiful village situated in the south of Portugal. This is surely one of the most visited places in the Alentejo.
