Oceans, bays, seas viewed from the shoreline.

Photographing people in Asia countries seemed somehow easier for me than doing it at home. Many of the people are from simpler backgrounds and are as curious about western visitors as we are about them, so a smile and wave and few words go far in breaking down walls. At home in the US and also European countries, people are more cautious and less open to a stranger poking his camera in their faces.
This theme page is a tribute to that wonderful openness. Long may it last!
