| For night time photography such as this I will take perhaps 20 x 15 second exposures. Once back at the computer I will then pick between 4 and 10 of these photo's to blend into the final image. I find that 15 seconds is optimal performance for my camera and that having a series of frames to choose from enables me to drop any which contain objects of no value (e.g. a bird flying past, someone walking into the frame, another photographers flash going off). One final remark is that night images have very bright highlights, therefore it is necessary to underexpose by 1,2, or 3 stops relative to the cameras metering to ensure a satasfactory image without too many blown out highlights. | FranceFrance ![]() Santa Is Coming |
