Hi Tosca, Thanks for checking in and putting down an encouraging critique. You are right, this photo was taken, pretty high up in the mountains 7500+ ft. The other side ie. the background area is actually a deep gorge and a thick body of cloud was approaching as a result the bg is whiteash and zero visibility. These places often have dense fog/cloud when you could hardly see an object as close as a few feet away from you.
