| I've read your suggestions on correcting extreme light differences. Averaging the two is a great and simple idea. The gradual gray filter medium is something I have never heard of.... is it a filter actually or is it something you manually hold over the washed out areas? I hadn't thought at all about the problems of this shot because this is our world. It's often totally washed out due to overcast. After all, we get 13 feet of rain a year on average. I try to whot our world as I see it; however, I can see that the reflected cloud masses are indeed much more interesting than the sky itself and I ought to have done better to capture both the bit of blue and the density of the clouds. Thanks so much for your suggestions. Many people have complained about my whited-out skies and the only thing I've actively done is to try to frame my shots without so much sky. I have much to learn. Thanks, Judy |
