| Hej Gunnar, oh... I am not good at spoken Swedish but I can understand the written variant well enough if I have a dictionary at hand ;-) Don't worry about the "choice" of words... It helps me learn Swedish better, doesn't it? For 8 years in a row I used to spend my summer and winter holidays with my Russian friend who had got married to a Swedish guy and moved to live in Stockholm. So I am much used to hearing Swedish although I am far too shy to speak in it. Each time all of us gathered together for a chat, a crazy mixture of 3 languages was used at the same time: Russian, Swedish and English. Can you imagine? LOL ... which makes me seriously think of resuming lessons of Swedish to learn it better. My main problem is not knowing Grammar or words. The main and only problem for me is: to speak. I can not get used to this very peculiar Swedish pronunciation even though I like the sounding very much...! I want to pronounce words correctly but English is always in the way: even my teachers at the university said that I spoke French with an English accent!:(( I'm sorry for such a long speech! perhaps next time I shouldn't read discussions of photos :) Best regards, Elena |
