Yes, this was shot hand held. I thought I bumped the ISO to 400, but I looked at the metadata and it was at 200 on the D300. Pretty much everything I shot in Africa was at 400 so I guess I must of reset the ISO when we set out from the hotel on the first day. If you look at the metadata you will see I have the WB wrong for this image which required some work to balance it out. Back to the set up, I got down on my knees, sat back on my heels, and then leaned back against Joanne's legs to make sure I had a steady platform for the shot. We had overcast but good lighting conditions. I guess I was lucky to say the least.
