| hmmm .. the sky is a different layer from the same exposure .. I just couldn't balance the dynamic range without doing that. I think it is pretty close to how I remember it but with this shot I had all sorts of problems porting it out of Adobe RGB and maintaining the sky color .. the "save for web" option I typically used came out almost purple .. what I remember from the evening is just thick blue distant cloud from horizon to horizon with some lower stuff floating about .. the whole mess blotting off the sunset which is just trying to peek through on the far right .. I really like the symmetry of this little spot ... but I still haven't got it quite right yet .. but this one has grown on me a bit over the last week thanks so much for your thoughts. |
