HI Jorge! Actually we celebrate independence day every time a new president is elected :>>>....kidding aside...many Filipinos are also confused, the 1945 was the independence granted by the US after the Commonwealth Government under President Manuel Quezon while 1898 was a revolutionary uprising against the 400 year spanish colonial government.
