Hej Gert,
thanks for your visits to my photogallery!

I've never been to Roslagen. Perhaps I should see it, too? :) I've just thought: there are so many areas in and around Stockholm which I haven't seen yet... for 10 years!

I'm not sure that the word Russia is derived from Roslagen - but who knows?.. :)
By the way, when I was staying in Falun with a Swedish family, suddenly at breakfast we started to find out which words sound similarly (and have the same meaning) in Swedish and in Russian. The linguistic chat started with the word "kylskåp" the door of which wouldn't open for some strange reason!
I remember we discussed the words: skåp, kastrull, durkslag, tallrik... I guess they all came into Russian from Swedish, not vice versa.
:-)
Kind regards,
Elena
PS. Maybe you would recommend me a special brand of snaps to drink on Midsommar (next time, I guess)? I'm not a fan of snaps but out of curiosity I would try it.
