Hi Reed,

Thanks for the critique and information. You hit it right on the spot! I did focus on the people! Just like you I prefer my D90's optimization on "More Vivid" and saturation on "Enhanced Mode". I find that Nikon's color is flat if not set to this, my preferential choice.

Honestly, I also over saturated the original photo during processing.

First time I knew about the "focusing on people and landscape" shot. I will remember that. I may have been here longer but I am really just a week-end and vacation photographer.
