You were referring to this shot when you said, "the previous one." I am so linear, I just take things one at a time as I see them, so I'm slow to understand, sometimes! Thank you for your comment on this shot. You are right. It is the end of our road on this island, so it is relatively untouched north of this shot. However, there is an old town in the background, named Loring, AK, which is only inhabited by a few people now but once was a bustling community. Otherwise, people have homes long the water's edge which they access by boat and float plane. The two people in the foreground were a happy happenstance.... I'm grateful they happened to be at that place at that time. I've since learned how important it is to have such subjects to help anchor the shot and give a sense of perspective.
