I love the traditional music of Central Asia.Severa is a singer who refreshed the traditional songs, but still uses traditional instruments. i am surprised you haven't heard about her- she has performed in Europe and is very popular in the world Music circles. try sampling her music at calabashmusic.com.Salamat is actually Kyrgyz. She has a voice that gives one goosebumps. The most dynamic singer is Matlubeh Dadabayeva, a Tadjik, born near Samarkand, but now sings in Uzbek mainly.He album is called Yar Kelour.If you type their names, i am sure that you will be able to sample their songs somewhere.I'll see if I can find Yulduz.
