Hi Jimmy, thanks for the kind words. Here's a quick rundown of the technical side of my photography. I use a Canon 5D and a Canon 17-40mm or Canon 24-105mm lens. Most of my landscapes are shot at 17mm. I shoot at ISO 100 usually and probably f/16 on average. This increases the depth of field as well as slows the shutter speed to blur water shots. Additionally, I usually have a polarizer mounted on my lens, especially for forest and water shots such as this. Although not used on this image, I also have a Lee filter holder with a set of Hitech 4x5 ND Grads. I shoot in RAW and then process my images using Adobe Lightroom. The only changes I really make are small adjustments to white balance, exposure and contrast, along with cropping and dust-spotting the image. Finally, and almost certainly the most important thing, is lighting. For this image, the conditions were overcast and rainy. These conditions make for fantastic forest/stream shots. The diffuse light and moisture make the greens really pop. If I had taken this on a sunny afternoon, there would be too much contrast between the highlights and the shadows and the image would likely suffer.

Hope this is what you were looking for,

Ben
