It does lighten it up a bit - thank you! I tried doing that and kept noticing some banding and two artifacts near the far end of the pier that I couldn't quite clone out. I think they are from tiny water droplets that got on the lens from the workers power washing the pier behind me. I have a couple other tries with longer yet exposures and they both were ruined by those artifacts. They are impossible to clone out as they are over some lights and the end of the pier.
