Lots of tips, I'll try and catch you on skyoe sometime soon. Train to Vilnius is interesting, no sensible direct trains. If you you want to go all the way by train, (which of course you do) it's Warsaw to Sestokai, the one direct train per day between Poland and Lithuania, then change for the broad gauge train to Vilnius, but at least they connect with each other these days.
