| dear Dot, thank you for your kind comment, but I cannot understand your words and John's tip. those seem very dogmatic, stereotypical and prejudiced... in TE (at least not in TL), the photgraphs must be faithful to objects or objective views. but triming (cropping) must be based on photogrpher's originality, not on general standard of others. about this shot, the sky was white/gray, not blue. it was natural, and it is beautiful back of rose flowers, leaves and distant green wood. why sky must be blue? generally the sky near the horizon is gray even if the air is very clear. and the image needs not be focused in all portion, on the contrary, the image that includes in focus and out focus portion becomes live. both clear part and blurred part make one real image. of course I can enjoy close up rose, but in this shot, I enjoyed whole view of rose flower and surroundings. please re-think your way to watch the photo. regards, Akihisa |
