Thank you, Manoj, for your kind remarks. I actually think that the next picture I uploaded of this ship is a better one, though more people seem to have voted for this one. I suppose this one includes the whole of the ship whereas the second one has cropped off the tops of the masts. Anyway, to answer your question: I was standing on the pavement just beside the dock so my feet were at the same level as the quayside you see on the right of the picture. I suppose the camera, therefore, was probably about 12 feet above the water. If you look at the GoogleEarth map by clicking on the [map] beside the picture, you will see that the ship lies in a very awkward position for photographing it: it's surrounded by all sorts of buildings and stuff - not ideal! kind Regards, John.
