| hello jen the workshop posted here is fine to show the capabilities of post-processing, but, at least for me, it loses a lot of the original mood of the picture: the foggy blend of the sky and the water. as i said, i know that place and actually have seen my share of foggy moods there. in my opinion, your original post was better at delivering that. if anything: i would apply the adjustments proposed by john, just selectively (and very carefully): on the area with the boats. boosting contrasts usually destroys fogs... on the same token, it reduces the 'digital haze', which plagues many photos. so use with caution - in some cases it (boosting contrasts) can be destructive; in others - very constructive. regards, kristaps |
