| Hello Gunnar, Thanks for commenting. Although the lake is still polluted because of the sins of earlier generations, there is one good thing. The houses are not right at the water front, but are more or less hid by the trees, when looking from the lake. I have not seen a Finnish name for the lake, not in any maps I have or the maps in internet, not even in any articles in Finnish language dealing with the lake's ecological condition or history of Kauniainen. Maybe it is better so, sometimes the translations are very odd. ;-) What does "Gall" mean, do you know? Have a nice week! Lasse |
