| Hi Bill My travels in the 1970s were just holiday although I did work in England and Norway. Far from luxurious travel as especially this travel in Africa was by public transport or whatever we could find to get to our destination. Often we travelled by truck - sometimes we sat in the cab of the truck but very often in was in the back with the locals and their only possessions. Travelling to destinations such as in this photo, especially when you are aged in your 20s, makes you really appreciate life. Then I had 30years until 2004 with almost no travel. By the way we took very few photos back then. We had 4 months in Africa and I took about 50 photos. We considered film expensive and we had to then carry the film. Thanks for your interest, Marlene |
