| Hi Klaudio, can't say that I have noticed loss of detail. The negatives for me are the loss of, in the case of the one I use, 1 f-stop and that it slows the autofocus quite a bit. The 7Ds AF is never particularly good (not sure about the 5D - but compared to the 7 film body, the 7D is abysmal), but with a heavy lens and the teleconverter it hunts quite a lot which can be a problem if the subject is flying... If the lens was not bright it would probably be worse. I suspect that the quality of the lens you use it with has an impact too, ie it will magnify any problems with the lens. I bought mine 2nd hand, it is a sigma TC that can only be used with the 70-200 constant 2.8 zoom that I have, which is strange and annoying. cheers, Steve | AustraliaAustralia ![]() Pelican in flight |
