Hi Steve,
Thanks for that tip in dealing with the sky. I did some "fooling around" with that area of sky in terms of burning, but it still seems a bit washed. I worked on this using the linear mode in the RAW software. When I use this mode it changes the gamma of the shot and becomes very dark, but tends to preserve the highlights. Then I have to sork of "rebuild" the photo with controls in Photoshop. I also did some work with layers using the gradient map, and opacity. I worked on this photo rather late at night and I now think that the shot is a bit oversaturated. The original scene was far less vibrant than what you see here. I'm not too pleased with this result and may repost.
