I owe the beautiful colours to the Chinese craftmans and the fact that the lanterns were brightly lit from inside against a dark background. Picture was cropped, resized and sharpened (needed due to resizing and reduction of JPG resolution). Several shots were taken with different exposures and this one yielded the best contrast.
