hi, Thanks for the feedback. I has the IS turned on but as i had mentioned earlier, i forgot about the focal at 5.6 which means the dof is very shallow. however this is indeed a good lens especially for macro. This camera was actually strongly recommended by Rabani one of our countryman in TE and its really a good choice. I only need to crop the extras away as in spite of using full 85 mm zoom and manual focussing right up to macro and my camera is practically about 5 inches away from the subject, the photo that came out still has about a foot of image from the subject - in this aspect you are correct. tfs LC			MalaysiaMalaysia Oh.....patience lctan (1057)
