Hi Ryan: Thanks for your comments. I did actually do two different exposures. The portion in shadow I exposed slightly longer, and the top portion I used my grad, which at the time I worried might not have been necessary but I guess it was. That's funny you were there the day the road opened--not a surprise at all! I remember seeing the sunset Tuesday night and thinking, "Man, I wish I were up in the mountains right now."
