| Hi Emilia. Thanks for your critique. Yes, you are right, North Korea is a totally different world. I visited North Korea for four days at the invitation of the government - I work for a broadcasting industry organisation that undertakes skills development and capacity building projects (training, funded consultancies, etc) for broadcasters in developing countries, and it was in that capacity that I was there. It is not easy to visit North Korea as a tourist, as they only issue a limited number of tourist visas each year - and they are usually only available through a small number of approved travel agencies as part of a guided package tour - so I was fortunate to see a lot more of North Korean life than most tourists would on a package tour.
