Thank you for your critique. With regards to Kayaking in Doubtful Sound, we went with a company called Fiordland Wilderness Experiences based in Te Anau. They do tours on both Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound ranging from a day to a week. I can thoroughly recommend them. Their website is www.fiordlandseakayak.co.nz. Be warned, it can and will rain a lot in this region, but once you are paddling you don't notice it. There is a pod of bottlenose dolphins in Doubtful Sound, but we were not fortunate to come across them. Overnight was in a tent in the middle of the sound. Hope that helps.
