Hi Murray, sometimes we are our own best critics.

I liked this shot a lot when I first took it, and posted it. I was very happy with the way these fig trees formed this natural tunnel, and you are right it is an excellent place to walk on a hot day. It is popular with a lot of people working downtown.

When I took this I was using my new camera and was using settings recommended by "an expert" on the web. These settings included a +1 on saturation. These trees have a very beautiful green already but looking at this shot now I find the greens maybe a little too rich. I had a similar problem with the first picture I took "Cox Plate Winner". In any case, long story short, I went back to the park to see if I could improve on this shot.

This was a shot looking towards the fountain on the north side. What I did was walk down the other way and got a shot of the south side, looking towards the ANZAC memorial. I then worked on this for a couple of days (learning new software too) to give me a new tunnel. It's not as vibrant as this one, but I think it looks a lot more real. Stay tuned.

Thanks, John
