I used a fairly wide open aperture as I began experimenting with this lens, largely to create bokeh. I was focusing on the hand and the aperture was too wide to give me much in focus. There is perhaps a six to ten inch difference in depth between the edge of the handle bar and the BMW logo. I don't know whether to be troubled by it or not. To me its all part of the learning process. I've been buying fast primes of late largely based on my experience with this 135mm lens. I enjoy playing with narrow depth of field but I've much to learn about setting aperture with lens length and object distance for precise sharpness and optimal bokeh. This was an early attempt...
