Yes, richard its a simple outboard motor that propels this ferry through the rapids, I say rapids but take that with a small r. The guys launch themselves from the side - steer the raft while in the water until the middle where the current is pretty strong, then turn on the outboard motor to give that extra kick and then in teh shallows return to steering by pulling ropes and gettign the raft safely to the other side.
