You're right about the full moon... perhaps. I've not done any night shooting with my digital, but have contemplated it many times. Unfortunately on this particular trip it was a new moon and let me tell ya.. when the sun goes down in Montana, it gets so dark that you litterally can't see your hand in front of your face.
