| Tybee Island has not had a directly hit by a hurricane in over a hundred years. Though I will miss the salt grass at sunset and the ebb and flow of the tides, I am glad to be moving away this summer to the next adventure. I fear a big one is long over due statistically. My father inlaw is involved with the rebuilding in New Orleans, and I have seen his photographs. It would break my heart to see that happen to Savannah and this part of the Golden Islands and I don't want to be living here when it happens. Grav |
