I did wait for the guy with the bike to appear (it's actually a bike taxi). I dropped the ball a bit with the shutter speed, often (I seem to remember in this case too) I use shutter priority mode. I had been shooting stationary people, who obviouly move slower than this guy. When I was waiting for him to appear, I forgot to increase the shutter speed.
