hi
actually the dark was brought in on purpose
i felt that the dark symbolised the state she was in
moreover this photograph this is from a project of mine called "moments in darkness"
i like to capture silhouettes and most people actually dont get this photograph
i think it's my fault i should have included another thing in my note.
in india girls have been considered as a burden to the family. a lot of families, in the lower segment are still something that the families are ashamed of. they're not sent to school etc in short they're the lowest in the heirarchy of a family in the lower segments. infact there are families even in the ipper segment which believe in this
its quite sick
so these girls are kept in darkness
thats what i wanted to portray
with just a silhouette and the eyes looking at the viewer . they kind of made me feel guilty
