It's interesting to see one's older photos crop up again. I loved the expression on this little girl's face, I have to admit. Her sister -- the one behind her -- I'm less certain about. I like the the mouth as a symbolic kind of thing, like her appetite is reaching out at the food even as her eyes are begging for it, but at the same time it seems visually untidy. Still, can't follow the usual rules of composition all the time, can we? Experiments and accidents are the beginning of art (not that I consider this photo great art, but you know what I mean).
