Thanks for your comments. The slant you see is a slight rise between the camera position and the tree line. I always use a hotshoe level to make sure the camera is level so I do not have tilted horizons.

I wish I could come to your part of NA to shot the fall colors. The bright reds mixed with the oranges and browns of the eastern hardwoods is just fantastic. They put our yellow and orange displays to shame. I think I will start planning a trip for next year so that I hit eastern Canada in late September and be in Maine and Acadia N.P. by October 1-10.
