Your right, it was fairly touch to to get a balance between the bright sky and the boats in the harbour. The photo as is; I've already used the shadow/highlights tool to tone down the bright sky. I think the only way to get a perfect exposure for all would have been to place it on a tripod, and take two exposures; one properly exposing the water and boats, the other properly exposing the sky. Then in Photoshop; merging the two photos into 1, using the properly exposed elements in each. I've yet to try this method though... have you heard of it/ tried it before Behrang?
