Hi Mike, I liked your term 'worldliness' in your comments, re Rosa's expression...its very fitting, and makes me understand my own photograph a bit better - even if it just applies to Rosa's worldliness in & around Manila. She hasn't been anyplace else - and from what I can gather from her limited English, her father lives in Makati (about 20 min away), and I haven't inquired as to where her Mother is, or what has happened to her. (Rosa's auntie makes them breakfast & lunch right there on the street each day - but does not sleep with Rosa & Edison on the street; the kids sleep alone on the sidewalk.)
