I think NZ is popular is due to the movie "The Lord of the Ring", I am sure since then there are heaps of visitors in town to see what NZ have to offer, once when you are in the country, you will tend to come and visit the heart of Auckland where the Tower is. :) Here is another link most properly can help you to know more about the heart of Auckland...
