Thanks very much for your critique. I appreciate the detailed notes that you posted (and the careful review of my picture which was obviously necessary to discuss it so minutely!) The comment on the title is especially welcome since I did give it a fair bit of thought. For me the chain was one of the best parts (along with the bent rim and deflated tire). It's ironic in two ways, first because I doubt anyone would try to steal this bike, and second, as you said, because it kept the bike outside in the weather to rust.
