Intro: I'm a swiss citizen who lives in Brazil since 1978.
As an amateur with Nikon FM in the 70's and FE2 in the 80's, I did my first steps into digital photography in 2000 with a Fujifilm FinePix 1300 (though not for long due to display problems). Next experiences were with Canon: A85, A95, A620 and S3IS.
Nowadays what I most use is a Nikon D40, besides the Canon S3 and a Panasonic FX-550. Seems a never ending story |;-)
To the industry my congratulations for its truly fast technological progress on digital cameras for amateurs (and pros), but IMHO there's still a lot of space for evolution, especially in the low light, speed and ergonomics departments. Competition helps and the users appreciate!
