| Intro: | My name is Malcolm Lee and I am 61 years old. I live in Anglesey in North Wales. I'm lucky that I live just 20 miles from Snowdonia which is a great place to take photographs. I have been taking photos for a number of years and have always used Canon equipment as my main cameras but when I changed to digital about 4 years ago I bought a 2MP Kodak Camera which served me well for a couple of years until I went and left it on top of a mountain. I then bought a Fuji Finepix 601Zoom which is a lovely camera which is very portable but I now mainly use a 8MP Canon Powershot Pro1 which I won in a raffle about 18 months ago. I mainly take pictures for my own enjoyment and if they are liked by other people then that is a bonus. I rarely use editing software except for cropping/straightening or resizing. I came across this site by accident. I have just had Broadband connected which has really made a difference to my internet connection speed and now I can surf and download pictures to my hearts content without the family moaning that I'm hogging the telephone line. It was whilst I was searching for shots of Snowdonia that I came across TE and immediatley liked what I saw. I only joined TE on 9th October 2005 but I'm glad that I did. Most of my photographs are on 35mm slides (about 6000 slides) so I think I will have to start scanning them into my computer so that I may post some of them to TE to see what members think. (but at 1 posting a day it should keep me busy for a few years!!!) I have a HP Photosmart S20 Slide Scanner which should do quite a good job. | |
