Intro: Saturday 4th October 2008, TE meeting in Friuli, Italy
We’ve looked at the following website
this is dedicated to the preservation of our historic castles. We plan to visit the castles across the this part of the region and the western part of the “Pedemontana” route.
Along the route we’ll also be able to sample and buy local produce such as wines, cheeses, cold meets and “grappa” liquor, including the “Pitina” which is a typical salami of this area, and “salty cheese”.

If you need it, we’ve also arranged for some accommodation, for those of you coming from further away, at the “Corte Morea” in Lestans (Pordenone), where you can get a double room and breakfast for €52.

25/09/07 Time for an update

Hi Everybody!!
Born in 1973 in Italy and then moved to England, Manchester. Married and proud father of Cali Tee and Skye, my adorable twins.

Interest in photography is quite recent for me; I remember starting a few years ago when I bought my first digital ultra compact camera on ebay and enjoyed the time with it. At that time I was ignoring the basic rules of photography; my camera was set up in automatic mode and I was just playing at point and shoot (and you might say that, well, nothing really changed since then!!). After that I bought a Fuji S5600 and since then I've started to read as much as I can about taking pictures, camera set up, post processing, technical aspects and so on. I've also started to take part in photographic forums/communities to share my results and to learn how to improve my knowledge.
After quite a long training with my adorable little Fuji I felt the time was right to try to use an open system, therefore I've bought my first reflex, the Nikon D80, which I'm still using of course. I then started to build my equipment around the body of the D80 with some prime lenses, some wide angle zoom and some zoom lens. The SB600 flash is part of the equipment as well.
I'm still learning a lot about photography, especially reading books and forums, and I really hope to improve on light management and camera set up to achieve a good overall quality in the shots I take.

So far so good...may I keep bothering you while you are reading my profile? (if you are reading of course, if not get lost as I'm trying to entertain you!!)..the answer is yes?? come on then!!

I discovered this site full of beautiful pictures while I was searching reviews about a lens I wanted to buy. I remember I was at work (and you can say "don't talk bull, you were surfing the net to find your new lens and you call this being at work?? Fair enough, I was having a paid day off while I was in the office..is that ok now?? :oP)when I started to discover amazing pictures from every country. It's amazing how you can decide where to go and when with just a click; this place is sort of an open window, and the main subject is our adorable Planet Earth which I love a lot, and we must save it right??
I'm lost and I don't remember what I wanted to write..uhmm..oh yes I remember now!
I decided then to register and post my first picture on TE. Since then I reckon I haven't posted a large number of pictures but what with the twins, the wife and the job, I am keeping very busy! But at least I have to say I have always tried to be active leaving comments/critiques.
As you can see from my gallery at the moment my shots are pretty much about architecture. As I've said before I don't have many chances to leave the family to go around and discover new places, therefore I try to maximise my job and discover as much as I can of the city where I'm living at the moment; and this might be an explanation of why I don't post so much.

In the end, after all this blah blah blah, I've seen it's quite common to say who my favourite artists are. This is my list:
Mario Testino
Bryan Adams (yes, the singer! Have a look at some of his portraits, they are just amazing!)
Charlie Waite
Joe Cornish
Ansel Adams
Austin Stevens the Snakemaster
Sascha Huttenhein
David Ward
Ludovico Fossa'

Thanks very much for reading and I wish you all the very best

Cheers
Igor
