I thought I try, in Photoshop, just lighten it a little on the shadow part, not too much so you don't loose detail. sharpen a little and a litttle contrast and saturation. I think it still look natural and not overly minipulated. What do you think? Too much?

Here are the changes I made:
- Adjusted contrast and brightness of the sky
- Experimented a bit with the dodge and burn tool
- Adjusted sharpness
- Cropped a bit to emphasize the sunset
- Put a frame
